Wedding Ceremony Outline

Create a ceremony as special and unique as your love.

Where are you located?    |Top|
I live about 30 minutes north of Baltimore City near Hunt Valley, MD. My office is in my home.

What professional services do you offer?    |Top|

  • Consult with you and do any research needed to prepare a ceremony that meets your absolute satisfaction.
  • Lead a rehearsal to make sure all the details are in order.
  • Create and hold the sacred space for the ceremony.
  • Officiate at the wedding ceremony.
  • Perform other ministerial duties such as greeting guests and offering the blessing before the wedding feast.
  • Complete and file your marriage license.
  • Encourage and guide you every step of the way!

I can also provide individual and/or couples therapy before or after your marriage if you wish to have additional help or support.

How much do you charge?    |Top|
Fees are based on the date and location of the wedding.

  • A $100 deposit secures your date.
  • For weddings within an hour's travel time, $450-$550.
  • For weddings within two hours' travel time, $550-$700.
  • Ask me about traveling further afield. You never know! It just might be possible.
  • For a very private ceremony, talk with me about taking your vows in my lovely home or garden.

Having a small wedding on a small budget? Consider having your ceremony on a weekday. I will be able to charge less.

How can we find out more?    |Top|
Contact me for a complimentary consultation by phone or e-mail. I'll check dates and answer your questions. I'll be glad to forward a sample wedding ceremony for your review.

How do we proceed once you're hired?    |Top|
We'll arrange a meeting in my office. I'll be interested to hear about your relationship and what you hope for in your wedding ceremony. Bring your ideas for the elements of your ceremony and lots of questions. (Refer to the ceremony outline for ideas.) By the end of our discussion, we'll have a preliminary draft of your ceremony. Allow about two hours for this planning meeting. We can usually complete the writing process by e-mail. We will continue to keep in touch as needed by telephone and e-mail.

What else do we need to know?    |Top|
You must secure a wedding license from the Circuit Court in the city or county in which the wedding will be held. A license is usually good for at least six months so it makes sense to get it well ahead of time. In most areas, you must get the license at least three days before the wedding.

Where are you licensed?    |Top|
I am currently licensed in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. Given enough notice, I can easily apply for a license in other states and countries.

Thinking about eloping?    |Top|
Talk with me about a private ceremony in the sanctuary of my beautiful home and garden.
